Not too long ago, I read a self-published book with several hundred errors in it. I was appalled that this well-crafted story was not professionally edited. So I dedicated "E" Day to Editing.
It's an extreme effort to become enthusiastic about editing ones' work. Exhiliaration comes from excavating effective word choices and exciting events and ideas. Writing expressively often eclipses enthusiasm for the elusive editing endeavours that eventually need expanding.
Eradication of errors are extensively important. No exageration: embarassing efflux needs exclusion.
Engross your editing skills through exacting exposure of evidence in endless exerpts.

When I was a teecher the kids in my klass always used to right ect instead off etc. Its sutch a sillery mistake!!
I'm all for editing myself, I mean, myself...though come to think of it perhaps the first way is correct. Or right. Or something! I do spend money for someone to edit my novels. I have to!

It's hard but we all have to edit our work the best we can. You spelled exaggeration wrong!
I'm terrible at editing so I couldn't pick out the errors. That is one thing I need to improve on. Enjoyed reading your post!
Oh, dear. My post is a little too subtle. There are 8 editing errors to find in it. A couple of people found just one. See if you can find any more. I guess I have to be a bit more bold with them.
I have seen a few self published books myself that read like first drafts. There's a salutory tale there somewhere

I become embarrassed for the author when I come across repeated errors in a ms.
I have a friend that just started blogging that does not spell check prior to posting. It makes me wince.
