A-Z Challenge Dicey Dialogue

The desire of dialogue is to drive the action along. Didactic drivel disguised as dialogue disgruntles and discourages the defenseless reader. Discriminating dialogue distinctly discloses depth of character-driven dramas.

Dare to deliberate upon dazzling degrees of dialogue:

Dog Dialogue- "Dumb Cat!"

Direction Dialogue- "Drive directly to Dugout Road and turn diagonally till discovering Dragonfly Drive. Then...

Descriptive Dialogue:
Farmer's Wife:  "Dang, Daniel, you smell like durned dog dung and dirt."
Prairie Woman: "Dottie was draped in doo-dads that disguised her dreary dirndl dress."

Unfinished Dialogue : Distraught Mother in a dither: "Don't dare display that discourteous disrespectful tone. I declare..."

Code Dialogue  "Damsel Disaster on 3" (Clean up on Aisle 3)

Debaters Dialogue: "Did too!"  "Did not!"  "Did too!"  "Did not!"

Demonic Dialogue: Question: "Do demons deal with dark dastardly diabolical devils?"
Answer: "Their deadly debauchery defies description. Put that in your  diseased death's head and rattle it. "

Desperate Dialogue of Debbie the Dramatic Diva during bedtime:  "A drop of drink before I die? I'm debilitated, and declining in fluids. You dare deny your daughter a drink?"

Dead End: Dare to dream. Don't dream to dare.

Nice post. I actually picked up a few very useful tips about dialogue. And it just so happens to be one of the things I struggle with most. Thank you so much for dropping by and following my blog.

I also love your attitude towards life. It is inspirational. It was very nice meeting you.

Oh man, you have me howling. (Hubby keeps turning and looking at me as I giggle at the computer screen.) He thinks I've gone mad. ;)
