A-Z Challenge- Common Cliches

     I "C" that it is crystal clear that I consider "C" as my controlling character. C... cliches. Common cliches cause chaos and should be avoided at all costs. Old conventional sayings that no longer bring any spice to one's writing should be cut (CHOP! CHOP!) from the writing piece and converted. Fresher comments and comparisons need to be considered for crucial commission of creative talent.


     I have consulted with co-workers and collaborated on colorful cliches that can create clear concepts and charisma to old crappy customary writing. My Cliche Cache...


Clean crusty chimneys before they clean your clock. (Be prepared)
Calligraphy can charm cocky career criminals. (Even a criminal can be swayed by grace and good handwriting)
Chewy candy creates cavities. (You play, you pay.)
Characters command charisma.
Carry china carefully.
Chart calorie consumption. 
Caterwauling... not just cats. (There are other whiners too)
Chastising chickens creates conflicted cluckers.

    Hilarious. Your alliterative cliches are, of course, not cliches at all. They're fresh and very funny.

    p.s. You probably know this anyway so apologies for sticking my oar in (that was a cliche, wasn't it!) but we're supposed to take a break for one day over the weekend or we'll run out of April days. Monday is meant to be C day. ;-)

    THanks guys. I go over and over the text of what I want to say and begin to drop in "C" words when I can. So far it's working but there are 23 letters yet. Aaugh! Am I crazy? Cuckoo?

    LOL! Nice job with "c"! I have a terrible time staying away from cliches. When I'm writing I just go ahead and allow myself to use them so I don't break my flow and then in the editing process I get rid of them.

    Very cute! A good reminder too, the power of alliteration - it can be great in amongst text if you want a particular line to resinate :)

    Cliches that are NOT cliches. Very clever, you evil genius! Especially the chastising chickens creates conflicted cluckers. Wouldn't you be??? I mean they're supposed to cluck loudly and crow. Now they're being yelled at. Of course they're conflicted.
